Quotation Sensation #41
As usual, the rules: The first person to comment with the character, actor, and movie that contains this quotation gets a special eyelash batting and a tailor-made Cinema Hype cheer, which might actually rhyme, even if it doesn’t make any sense.
Congratulations to James for guessing last week’s quotation in record time! Well done.
Up this week:
“‘That’s very interesting, [name], and I think, very illuminating. There seems to be a definite pattern emerging. And, of course, this pattern, once isolated, can be coped with. Recognize the problem, and you are halfway on the road to its, uh, its solution. Uh, tell me, [name], what do you do for fun? What activity gives you a different sense of enjoyment from the others? Uh, what do you find fulfilling? What gives you that… special satisfaction?’
‘I go to funerals.’”
Think you know it? Comment and find out!

This isn’t Harold and Maude, is it? I haven’t seen this movie in a million years, but it *sounds* like Harold and Maude.

I think it is Harold in Harold and Maude speaking to Maude when he first meets her.

Ooh Ooh ooh! Without looking at comments, I already know it is Harold and Maude, because I just saw this film recently for the first time. Yay, Harold and Maude. (And also…sad for Harold and Maude)

Such an enthusiastic response this week! All three guesses were right: the quotation is Harold and his therapist in Harold and Maude. Heather got there first, so the cheer for the week is aimed at her, but Sarah and Chris get honorable mentions. Yay, Sarah and Chris!
And for Heather:
Harold is obsessed with death!
We don’t think he does much meth!
Heather knows her movie quotes!
I bet she doesn’t learn by rote!
Woooo, Heather! (Did I mention these cheers don’t have to make sense?)

Thanks, Liz! I will treasure my cheer always!
