Quotation Sensation #15
I love the smell of movie quotations in the morning. Or is that just a little bit too meta?
As usual, the rules: The first person to comment with the character, actor, and movie that contains that quote gets a special eyelash batting and a tailor-made Cinema Hype cheer, which might even rhyme.
This week’s special:
“My name Mahi. Mahi Mahi.”
“Like the fish?”
“Yeah. My father was a fisherman.”
“My father left home when I was 5. That’s why I’m named Jack, as in, ‘Jack tell your mother I’m just going out to get the paper.’”

No one has responded tot his yet? For shame! I was just scanning through and saw this. Funny enough, this very movie and this very SCENE were just running through my head last night. Freaky.
This would be Nicholas Cage and Mr. Miyagi himeself (Noriyuki ‘Pat’ Morita) in “Honeymoon in Vegas”. Nick’s character is Jack Singer with Pat Morita being, of course, Mahi Mahi. Awesome flick.

Just getting it in under the wire! Nicely done, Marilyn. You and your prescient mind are, of course, correct.
A cheer, as promised:
We do love our Pat Morita!
Wouldn’t you just love to eat a
Vegas buffet right now?
Woooooo!
(Not much rhymes with “Miyagi” or “Morita,” okay?)
