Cera Arrested at last

Hey, just because it’s been all over the internet today doesn’t make the news less exciting.
Haven’t you heard?
Kristin Dos Santos of E!’s Watch with Kristin blog reports that Michael Cera has signed on for the Arrested Development movie, theoretically due in theaters in 2010.
This has to be a relief to Arrested Development fans everywhere; Cera is probably the least likely of the original cast to show up for the movie on account of being older, more famous, and ostensibly more marketable than he was during George Michael’s glory days. At age 20, one assumes he’s trying to move on rather than go back to his onscreen adolescence. Admittedly, the movie might well have gone on without him—after all, they could always say he’s in college which I would totally pay to see—but…really. Let’s be serious. Can we imagine the Bluth household without George MIchael?
Let’s see how the Bluth-Funke clan might react to the disappearance of their beloved son/nephew/cousin-boyfriend:
Michael Bluth: “WON’T ANYBODY BOND WITH ME? I have good intentions and nobody on whom to push them, with disastrous results!”
GOB Bluth: “George Michael’s gone because I made him…disappear! I SAID…disappear! …Crap.”
Lucille Bluth: “Come here, Buster. You’ll just have to dress up in George Michael’s clothes and go for a bike ride with your brother; he won’t know the difference anway. Now, zip me up.”
Buster Bluth: “No, Mother! ….Okay.”
Maeby Funke: Marry me!
Lindsay Bluth Funke: George Michael who?
…Yeah. See? It’s just better with him there. We’ll see YOU in the model home.
